Reporting to: Head of Underwriting
This position manages all company reinsurance matters and ensures that the net-net position of the Company is adequately protected. The position also plays the role of a branch supervisor.
Key Tasks, Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupporting individual departments with all reinsurance related issuesUsing the system to reserve all treaty coding issuesEnsuring that the company deals with reputable reinsurance companies at all timesTimely processing of statutory returnsProcessing and negotiating competitive treaty renewals termsPlacement of facultative business. Both inward and outward.Preparing reinsurance reports for management.Ensuring timely processing of recoveriesEnsuring that the company’s reinsurance programs are adequate and cost effectiveProcessing of branch credit notes and refundsProcessing of Insurance Premium Finance applicationsManagement of COMESA yellow cardsProcessing credit notes and policy cancellations and other relevant endorsements from the branchesAny other duties assigned by management in line with taskBachelor’s Degree in Business from recognized university5 papers in ACII or equivalent4 years relevant experienceA very competitive compensation package is in store for each of the successful candidatesIf you are interested in the position and have the skills and talents we are looking for, we would like to hear from you.
