[Full-time] Finance And Accounts Manager at AfriBusiness Development

Our client is medium sized organisation in the health sector. As part of its rapid growth strategy, our client seeks to engage a dynamic and result oriented Finance and Accounts Manager to help in managing the Finance function.

The Position:

The Finance and Accounts Manager will be responsible for ensuring integrity of the business figures for the finance and management reporting services needed to support the day to day and continuous business analysis, understanding and re-evaluation in order to create and exploit business opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Management of accounts payables and receivables that support smooth business operations;
• Sales reporting and tracking;
• Staff expense claims processing and reimbursement;
• Accounting for statutory deductions and ensuring compliance of the company with internal financial policy, local statutory requirements and returns as well as advise the management and board on the same;
• Represent the company when dealing with suppliers and creditors;
• Participation in stock-taking exercise and inventory reconciliation;
• Actively assist the CEO / Marketing and Strategy director in preparation of budgets;
• Develop management accounts;
• Manage cash and bank reconciliation; and
• Set up internal control systems and ensure compliance.

The Ideal Candidate should have:

Critical Knowledge:
• A Bachelors of Commerce in Accounting / Finance.
• Have completed CPA Section 6 or equivalent

Critical Experience:
• 3-5 years experience in a busy accounting and finance office at leadership level
• A sound understanding of financial processes in a medium sized organisation.
• A wide appreciation of Information Technology, specific to accounting packages.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Working with teams with significant cross-functional interaction.
• Demonstrate the ability to meet strict reporting deadlines and working with minimal supervision
• Experience in a health insurance / health management organisations will be an added advantage.
