Job Description: This is a unique position for experienced software engineers combining leading-edge software engineering skills with project management, customer relations and influencing.
In this role you will be working with African leading software developing companies in Educational segment to port, enhance and optimize their software products for Intel's mobile platforms. The target segment will include software for phones, tablets and ultrabooks.
As a technology consultant to Intel Marketing groups, you will be helping promote Intel platforms as the best hardware foundation for software solutions end-to-end. As an expert in software on Intel Architecture, you will provide technical training, consulting, and practical assistance to customer developers, engineering managers, and to peer groups at Intel. You will interface with Intel Engineering groups to resolve software related problems that impede the customers' success. You will provide technical feedback to Intel Product groups to enhance upcoming Intel platforms, technologies, and products.
Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters Degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline, 5+ years of experience in software development for mobile platforms, fluent in English.
This role requires strong time and project management skills. On-site customer support may involve frequent travel to destinations across Europe. Therefore a successful candidate must be able to travel. Good communication and presentation skills in front of technical audiences are essential. German or French language ability is a plus. Experience in customer relationships and vast knowledge in Education software space is a strong plus.
- Experience in software development is required, preferably for mobile platforms
- Experience in programming in C/C++ is a must, ideally in combination with experience in modern scripting tools, such as Javascript , Python , Perl , etc.
- Experience in Microsoft Win7/8 development environment
- An understanding of Intel Architecture, or another processor architecture, is expected.
- Working knowledge of a Linux /UNIX family operating system (OS, e.g. Android , etc.) is required;
- Experience in the following environments is a strong plus: HTML5, OpenGL or another 3D graphics
