1. Club Secretary / CEO
Key performance areas for the role:-
The Club Secretary (CEO) shall:Develop and monitor the performance of financial and operational plans; develop the annual budget and business plan, and make recommendations for capital improvements to enhance the assetsOversee the delivery of superior services to all guests ensuring the utmost quality and care is delivered including prompt response to requests and the effective resolution of all complaints to the satisfaction of guestsEnsure that product quality and service standards are met in all areas of the Club as pertains to physical appearance, maintenance and cleanliness.Establishes and maintains preventative maintenance programs to protect the physical assets of the ClubMaximize food and beverage revenues by ensuring optimal use of banquet/outlet space and most cost-effective management of the Club's food and beverage outletsOversee the security function to ensure a safe and secure environment for club members, guests, employees, and club assets.Establish and maintains a proactive human resources function to ensure employee motivation, training and development, pay and benefit administration, and compliance with policies and procedures and local labor regulations.Be secretary to the Management CommitteeBachelor’s degree in Hotel Management/ Business Administration or equivalentAn MBA will be an added advantageA strong background in hospitality industry in a competitive market.A commitment to transfer knowledge.Strong Leadership skills in managing a team to drive for resultsAn ability to manage complex relationshipsMaintain confidentiality on relevant matters5 to 10 years of general management experiencein a high level operations role in the hospitality or some prior general management experience, with a successful proven track record, experience in management of a private members club will be an added advantage.Good working knowledge of hospitality accounting systems.The club is inviting applicants for the position of a Chief Accountant whose profile is clearly detailed below.
Key performance areas for the role:-Support the Club’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.Responsible for knowing critical functions within the department and capable of mentoring and assisting employees within the department. Utilize teamwork to develop departmental synergyWork with both internal and external auditors during financial and operational auditsPreparation of the monthly statutory accounts and financial statements under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), and IFRS. Monitors compliance with club procedures and other legislationReport, analyze, and ensure integrity of all financial information.Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.Determines proper handling of financial transactions and approves transactions within designated limits.Prepare and present the budget to the management committeeResponsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports to the finance committeeEnsure efficient management of company assets especially cash and depositsProcess payments to service providersAnalyze transactional processes and identify areas where additional accuracies and efficiencies can be achieved.Staff management and development.Responsible for all taxes obligationsDevelop and implement various accounting proceduresBachelor’s degree in a business related field or equivalentFull CPA (K) qualification, ACCAOrganizational and analytical skillsAbility to supervise a team and deliver well under pressure and meet deadlinesTime management skills and attention to detailReport writing skillsMaintain confidentiality on relevant matters5 years relevant working experience with at least 3 years in senior managementWorking knowledge of account softwareResponsible for the management and achievement of profit for all food and beverage operations in the hotel including restaurants, bars, kitchen operations, catering and banquet operations.Key performance areas for the role:-
