Secondary School Teachers

In the below mentioned subject combinations:-

English and LiteratureBiology / AgricultureChemistry / MathematicsChemistry / BiologyMathematics / Business StudiesKiswahili / GeographyMathematics / PhysicsDuties and Responsibilities include among others:Preparation of Lesson Plan, Schemes of Work, Lesson Notes, Progress records, Tests and Assignments, etcSubmission of professional documents to the Director of Studies at the beginning of every term for approvalIdentify and recommend subject/course books for use in teaching of the subjectParticipate and contribute to the development of the school master timetablePrepare a personal timetable based on the master timetable of the schoolKeep an inventory of teaching and learning materials under their custodyCarrying out remedial classes at regular intervals to support weak learnersReview and adopt new teaching methods/strategies that will lead to greater academic achievement for studentsMarking, grading and analysis of learners performance in examinationsDevelop high stands of competition and discipline in students through different sporting activitiesProfessional Qualification and Experience:Bachelor of Education Degree in the relevant subject area or general degree with post graduate qualification in educationAt least 1 year teaching experienceExperience in management position like head of subject, HOD will be an added advantage“LWF/DWS is an equal opportunity employer, irrespective of gender, race or religious affiliation. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
