Civil and Structural Engineers Jobs in Kenya

Our client one of the largest construction and civil engineering companies that provides services for a wide a variety of projects, including harbors, terminals, bridges, highways, dams, nuclear and other power plants, petrochemical plants, commercial building and high rise apartments is recruiting for the position of Civil and Structural Engineer.The main duties of the post will include managing maintenance works of a wide range of projects and they will be responsible for the following:Preparing civil/structural engineering designAssisting in tender documentation and budget estimatesSupervising construction to ensure they meet structural and civil designsReviewing drawings (Internal and External)Carrying building audits to establish status of serviceQualifications /Competencies/ Experience:
The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications, experience and competenciesBachelors Degree in Structural engineering from a reputable institutionAt least 5 years working experience in a similar capacityExcellent analytical and decision making skillsAbility to brainstorm with dynamic engineering and manufacturing teamStrong back ground in structural and architectural designSolid knowledge in steel, wood, concrete and masonry is essentialTeam player and results oriented individualWorking knowledge of Building Analysis & Design software for concrete, steel and wood such as: WinSTRUDL, CadrePro, STRAP or similarWorking knowledge in Auto-CAD (Auto structural), Solid Works and Pro-E a plusExposure to IT skills and design packages will be an added advantageExcellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesApplicants must be holders of a Degree in Civil and Structural engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
