Merchandising and Promotions Supervisor Careers in Kenya at DPC Recruitment

Our client in the manufacturing Industry is looking to hire a Merchandising and Promotions Supervisor. The Merchandising and Promotions Supervisor will primarily be responsible for making sure the merchandisers are attending all the shops and ensuring there are no stock outs. In addition, they would be in charge of organizing promotional events in supermarket, churches, and other major events.

The Merchandising and Promotions Supervisor Responsibilities:

Educating the sales team by establishing programs or seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts;

Collaborating with the Executive Director to establish and control budgets for sales promotions and trade show expenses;

Training and supervising all the merchandisers;

Holding regular meeting with sales staff;

Ensuring that there are no stock outs of products in outlets;

Visiting supermarkets to ensure that displays are presentable and stocked;

Building good relationships with shelf stockers and managers in supermarkets;

Communicating with the Executive Director and Operations manager on what is going on in the field;

Collaborating with the quality team to collect customer complaints and deliver hampers within the company designated timeline;

Creating informative weekly reports; and

Collaborating with the sales team to ensure sufficient stock is in the supermarkets.
Qualifications for the Merchandising and Promotions Job in Kenya :-

A Diploma in any related field;

Minimum of 3-5 years experience;

Passionate, self-confident individual that is professional and result driven;

Strong integrity and ability to work within a team;

Able to work independently within set parameters;

Good negotiation and customer relationship management skills;

Good interpersonal skills both with internal and external relationships;

Great oral and written communication skills;

Good at planning and organizing to ensure priority task management; and

Knowledge of nutrition will be an added advantage.
