New Country HR Analyst
Based in Nairobi, Kigali, or Bujumbura after an initial 4-6 months in Bungoma (Kenya) or Rubengera (Rwanda)
East African applicants preferred
We are an international NGO with a strong footprint in Kenya, Rwanda, Burundi, and Tanzania: In these countries our 3,000+ strong staff serves over 200,000 smallholding farmers and helps them to grow their way out of hunger and poverty.
We are also constantly exploring new territory to operate in and we are currently piloting our program in Ethiopia, Uganda, and Malawi – other countries on the African continent and beyond will follow soon.
In order to build Human Resources capacity in these “New Countries” we are looking for you:

HR Analyst Role
You would first go through an extensive onboarding program during which you will learn how One Acre Fund operates and develop a feeling for organization specific HR related needs
Ultimately, your responsibility encompasses caring for the needs of the Human Resources and payroll administration functions in our New Countries
An important aspect of your job is its analytical component: You would need to analyze accurately the status quo of HR functions in different environments in rural Africa and identify needs for intervention
You would be expected to assess and plan the scope of your own work when providing support. The scope of support will include amongst other activities: creating HR administration tools, advancing recruitment efforts, building the framework for professional development initiatives, and advising leadership in New Countries on questions dealing with compliance as well as compensation & benefits
Requirements for the HR Analyst Kenyan Job
At least 2 years of relevant professional experience in Human Resources Management – ideally in a start-up or consulting environment in rural East Africa; Bachelors or Master’s degree with an excellent grade point average required.
Your ability to speak and write in English is flawless; Knowledge of French, Amharic, or Portuguese is an added plus
