4 Careers That Rely on Looks Than Academics
Let’s picture this. You apply for a job that matches your skills and knowledge, but unfortunately, it turns out that you were not “qualified”
Have you ever stopped to think why you did not meet the requirements of the recruiter? Strangely and unfair enough, your personal looks probably let you down.
With regards to that, we will take a look at jobs in Kenya that will first consider your looks rather than your academic qualifications.
4 Careers In Kenya That Rely More On Looks
1. Television Presenters
If you want a job as a TV presenter, the audience has to find you attractive. Local television stations in Kenya never hide the fact that you have to be beautiful when hiring presenters who are planning to be on air.
When hiring Television presenters, one of the main requirements that you should possess is good looks.
So you understand why you never got that presenter job you keep applying for.
2. Cabin Crew
This is so far one of the careers with very strict job requirements. For the national and international airlines, cabin crew attendants have to be presentable in terms of looks.
This is including the ability to swim and have a minimum arm reach of 212cms (on tip toes), which will enable you to reach emergency equipment on all aircraft types.
3. Receptionist
In any business, the first person who will meet and greet you is the receptionist. She is in charge of serving visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately among other duties.
If clients are going to judge a company by how the receptionist treats them, then it means that you have to be appealing.
4. Actors/Actresses
There are a lot of things you need to know before you think of becoming an actor. This is a career that is involved with the glitz and glamour so it goes without saying that you need to be attractive.
The fact that you are on television screens most of the time demands that you have to take care of your personal image.
Which other career do you think deserves to be on the list?
