Pharmacist Job in Lamu, Kenya (50K)




Position Title: Pharmacist

Duty Station: Lamu (Wiyoni) Island


Role Summary: The Pharmacist will work directly with physicians, other health professionals, and patients to ensure that the medications prescribed for patients contribute to the best possible health outcomes.


Primarily responsible for proper supply of medicines; for their secure and proper storage; and for their distribution throughout the health centre.


Job Responsibilities:




Requirements


  • Certification: The Incumbent MUST be a licensed Pharmacist registered with the Pharmacist and poisons board

  • Experience: Over two (2) years hospital pharmacy experience preferred

  • Education: B.S. in Pharmacy preferred

  • Must be willing to work and reside in Lamu


Skills and Qualities


  • Ability to work carefully, methodically and accurately

  • Sharp analytical skills and scientific aptitude

  • Good interpersonal skills and a caring and sympathetic manner

  • Conscientious, motivated and willing to learn

  • Committed and professional attitude


Expertise and Competencies


  • MS Office (Excel and Word)

  • Phamacore/Pastel

  • Fluent in English & Swahili


Employment Terms


  • Expected Salary: KES 50,000(gross) during probation period and after confirmation (60,000)

  • Contract renewed after every year

  • Medical Cover provided by the company

  • 21 days leave
