Our client a growing business in the IT industry wishes to recruit an Operations Director urgently to be based at their Nairobi office.

Job Title: Operations Director.
Reports to the CEO.

Operations Director Job Objective

To direct, promote, and coordinate the operations of the company in a manner that will optimize the organizations market share, improve the company’s efficiency and help achieve the company’s mission and goals and result in outstanding customer service.

Position Responsibilities.

Increases management’s effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining managers; communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; developing a climate for offering information and opinions; providing educational opportunities.

Develops strategic plan by studying technological and financial opportunities; presenting assumptions; recommending objectives.

Accomplishes subsidiary objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; allocating resources; reviewing progress; making mid-course corrections.

Coordinates efforts by establishing procurement, production, marketing, field, and technical services policies and practices; coordinating actions with corporate staff.

Builds company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; enforcing ethical business practices.

Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Develop and communicate company goals and results to all personnel and review progress as compared to budget with staff on quarterly basis.

Hold regular employee meetings to establish performance targets and review regularly.

Report progress to the CEO on company performance.

Qualifications for Operations Director Kenyan Jobs

A degree in business administration

Experience in HR management

Relevant 3 years experience in a senior position in the private sector preferably in the IT industry.
