Reporting to: Head of Monitoring and Evaluation
Job Purpose
The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will support all Strategic Information/Monitoring and Evaluation activities and conduct continuous performance tracking for the Project.
Primary Responsibilities
Reporting and Coordination
Coordinating information and activities related to strategic information may include responses to requests on strategic information both internally and externally.
Communicating measurement results and indicators to the Head of M&E
Assist the Head of M&E in coordinating Project units to assist with timely preparation of the semiannualand annual reportsEvaluations
Contributing to assessments , evaluations and other activities related to monitoring , evaluation andstrategic information
Expanding knowledge of analysis and evaluation of data related to healthcare delivery system Capacity building
Keeping abreast of latest healthcare strategic information guidelines , standards and best practices and
reporting to the Head of M&E
Provide capacity building and other form of support to regional / site level staff on M&E activities such as data collection, analysis and interpretation as requested by the Head of M&E;
Conduct data quality assessments with strategic action plans and share assessment findings for improvement; and
Conduct targeted site visits to provide mentorship on all issues related to Strategic Information.Health Informatics
Link ICT and health to improve quality of care
Academic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Statistics, Monitoring and Evaluation)
Professional Qualifications:
Proficiency in MS Office
Proficiency in analytical packages (SPSS/STATA added advantage)
Experience:
3 years’ experience in data management
Experience in PEPFAR reporting (DATIM)
Experience in the use of National EMR System for HIV Care
Experience in proposal writing and added advantage
Skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Good analytical and presentation skills
Advanced Computer skills
Report writing skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
