Job Vacancy: Finance and Administration Manager
 

Hilltop Preparatory School is a leading mixed private primary school (day & boarding) located in cosmopolitan Kitale; 5kms from town in a serene farm environment. 

We are keen to recruit a Finance and Administration Manager to provide support to the Directors in running the school.
 

Responsibilities include;

• Implement accounting framework consistent to best practice.


• Prepare annual budget and oversee its implementation.


• Prepare and present quarterly and annual financial reports to the Board.


• Coordinate the annual audit process; liaise with external auditors and the directors.


• Ensure sound cash management of deposits, bank accounts and daily transactions.


• Process payroll and remit taxes and levies to relevant agencies.


• Oversee the human resources in the school.


• Work closely and transparently with all external partners.


• Oversee school facilities to ensure efficient operations and maintenance.


• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements.


• Manage the school procurement process.


• Oversee ICT operations in the school.


• Oversee development works.

Required Skills & Qualifications;

• Minimum CPA Part 3 qualifications or equivalent.


• A Diploma in management or business administration.


• 5 years relevant work experience; 2 years preferably in an academic institution.


• Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems.


• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, high integrity, be dependable, and have a keen eye for detail.


• A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills, which support and enable sound decision-making.


• Age bracket: 28 – 35 years.
