The Country Representative (CRs) will provide leadership and strategic direction to the respective country programmes.  

The incumbents will be the final authority for in-country decisions including country performance and programmatic growth; be the primary contact for (non-project specific) external relations with key in-country stakeholders such as donors, government officials, clients and other partner organizations.

The ideal candidates should have a Master’s in Public Health (MPH), Medical Doctor (MD), Business Administration (MBA) or related field. 

S/he should have fifteen plus (15+) years of progressively responsible, related experience in international development work is required; twenty (20+) years is preferred.  

In addition, s/he should have a successful track record in managing large enterprises in developing nations and prior experience and success in directing large international donor-funded projects.

Country Business Development Manager

The Country Business Development Manager will be responsible for the exploration and development of new business for the Kenya Country Office. 

The incumbent will work under the guidance of the Country Representative, and in liaison with the Regional Business Development Manager, the Country Business Development Manager will proactively support or seek new business opportunities and will be responsible for the solicitation of funding and supporting the development of funding proposals.

The ideal candidate should have a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Management, or equivalent degree with relevant experience. 

In addition, s/he should have a minimum of six years working experience in the development of complex proposals and managing donor relations with significant experience in grants/contracts management and private sector engagement, experience working with US government rules and regulations.

The preferred candidate should have experience and knowledge of regulations and policies for non-US donors such as DFID, UN, WB, EU, Gates, etc.
