Promotions and Events Executive Job 2015

Our client in the FMCG industry is looking to hire a Promotions and Events Executive, who will primarily be responsible for planning, coordinating and facilitating all company events.


Reporting to the Trade Marketing Manager, the Promotions and Events Executive will also be the direct liaison to the sales department on matters concerning POS, branding and execution in regard to events.

The Promotions and Events Executive will specifically be responsible for the following:



Discussing , rationalizing and agreeing on promotions and events in support of marketing and sales objectives with the respective teams;

Scheduling and sharing a dynamic calendar that ties in activities in a chronological manner;

Matching activities to relevant venues and confirming bookings in good time;

Rationalizing, compiling and ordering items required for all activations and events;

Managing stock of POS items both in the warehouse and marketing store;

Liaising with parties on the production and prompt delivery of promotional inputs;

Briefing and managing agency deliverables as specified;

Recruiting and vetting promotional staff through relevant agencies;

Briefing and training of promotional staff prior to activations;

Attending and supervising events to ensure they are conducted as planned;

Reporting on execution of events and constantly updating on staggered promotions;

Researching, compiling and reporting regular reports on competitor activities;

Drawing up event/promotion-specific briefs and budgets;

Compiling, facilitating processing and filing of pre & Post-event documents e.g. quotations, buyer requisitions, LPOs, deliveries , invoices e.t.c; and

Ensuring cordial relationships with service providers / suppliers.


The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:


Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing or any related field;

A minimum of one (1) year experience in a similar role;

Excellent planning and organizational skills;

Strong communication and interpersonal skills;

Strong IT Skills – Outlook, Spreadsheets & Presentation; and

Ability to work under pressure.
