Summary: Red Lands Roses was established in 1996 in Ruiru specializing in growing and exporting T-Hybrid and spray roses of the highest quality in a range of over 100 varieties.
Red Lands Roses is internationally recognized for its green horticulture that respects people and the environment.

Job Purpose: Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that employee relations / Industrial relations matters are well managed as well as having an overall function in managing the department.
Key Responsibilities
Take charge of Employee Relations and Industrial Relations in the farm (this forms over 60% of the role)
Hands on experience in negotiation and management of collective bargaining agreements
Development and implementation of HR budgets
Developing, reviewing and implementing company policies, procedures and practices.
Efficient and effective staff recruitment, selection and retention policies.
Prepare HR metrics for management decision as per schedule
Effective implementation of HR development, performance management and career development programs.
Efficient administration of company medical scheme within the approved budget
Monitor staff discipline and implement in liaison with the other departments, all the corrective action process necessary
Supervise and coordinate all staff welfare functions
Prepare and facilitate internal and external audits and ensure compliance with all international and national standards that the company subscribes to.
Compliance with all applicable local and international laws, standards, registrations and licenses
Maintain a high profile of health, safety and environment program and coordinate first aid, fire and safety trainings accordingly
Administer and develop the staff benefits programs
Manage staff rewards and benefits administration to deliver competitiveness and cost effectiveness in order to motivate and retain talent
Develop effective Human Resources Information Systems.
Education, skills and competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, Business or an equivalent degree from a recognized University
Higher Diploma in Human Resources Management
Over 4 years’ experience in a busy HR department
Strong influencing skills
Proven people management skills
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills
Strong report writing and presentation skills
Self-driven and results oriented
