A leading Financial Institution in Kenya wishes to strengthen its team through the recruitment of a highly competent person to fill the position of an Investigations Officer.
The sought after individual must have an excellent work ethic, be result oriented and a team player.
Reporting to the Security & Investigations Manager, the Investigations Officer will be responsible for managing the Investigations Section of the Institution.
Key deliverables of the job include:
- Undertaking periodic fraud risk assessments ¡n liaison with the Audit & Risk Department
- Development, review and implementation of the Society’s fraud policy.
- Recording all fraud cases reported.
- Investigate all reported and I or suspected fraud and misdemeanour cases.
- Implementation of fraud prevention I detection processes and systems.
- Recording and reporting fraud detection and prevention rates verses actual frauds committed.
- Reviewing all new products for fraud risk.
- Refer detected fraud cases for investigation, manage recoveries and provide root cause analysis back to the business with remedial recommendations.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor of Arts degree ¡n any of these disciplines: Criminology, Sociology or Political Science.
- A relevant post graduate Diploma.
- Security related training with formal Security / Police certification.
- Previous relevant work experience required.
- Must have worked within the Security organs or Police Service for at least 3 years
