Concern Worldwide Programmes Director Job in Nairobi Kenya




Concern Worldwide is an international non-governmental humanitarian organization dedicated to the reduction of suffering and working towards the ultimate elimination of extreme poverty in the world’s poorest countries.
 



Applications are invited from suitably qualified Kenyan nationals for the following position:
 



Job Title: Programmes Director
 



Location: Nairobi
 



Duration: Two (2) Years
 


 


Job Summary: To manage the implementation of Concern Kenya’s multi sectoral programme in line with its Country Strategic Plan (2012-2016) programme strategies, programme quality while maintaining and strengthening focus on community empowerment, system strengthening and emergency preparedness. 



The incumbent will be responsible for programme design, implementation oversight, PM&E, emergency response and building capacity of the programme team.




Job Specification:


  • A master’s degree in development studies, social sciences or other related discipline.

  • Technical skills in system strengthening, education, health and nutrition, governance and advocacy or sustainable livelihoods.

  • A minimum of five years field management in emergency and development contexts with demonstrated success in improving programme quality.

  • Excellent leadership, networking, fundraising, problem solving, analytical, planning, communication, M&E, report and technical paper writing skills.
