Position: Ocean Freight Manager
The position directly ensures efficient planning, direction and coordination of the activities of all employees engaged in the movement of international ocean freight into or out of the area of responsibility of the branch.
The role will also ensure continuous improvement in customer service through clearly communicating customer expectations and managing the implementation of necessary operational and customer service practices.
Requirements:
Minimum education, experience and skills.
- 10 year’s work experience in transportation operations
- Bachelor"s degree in Business, Accounting, Management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and computer-based applications. Familiarity with shipping/receiving software is preferred.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
- Experience leading and following Safety/Security Policies and Procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
- Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees.
