Job Title: General Manager Finance
Profile Introduction: Our Client a leading insurance company seeks to recruit a self-driven individual for the position of General Manager Finance.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the proper creation and utilization of all financial resources in the organization.
He/she will be responsible for ensuring financial resources are harnessed to ensure maximum returns to shareholders.
The successful candidate will have the following primary responsibilities:
- Actively engage and contribute to the development and review of the financial strategy, policies and approach within the organization;
- Oversee the receiving, receipting and correct allocation, payment and banking of premium payments;
- Undertake cash flow planning and management to provide for cash reserves and liabilities;
- Ensure prudent and efficient financial planning and annual budgeting for the organization and its subsidiaries;
- Manage the organization’s General Ledger and subsidiary ledgers;
- Carry out cost control and cost management sensitization and initiatives across the organization;
- Conduct tax planning to minimize tax liability of the organization;
- Prepare and consolidate financial reports to management, the Board, regulators and other stakeholders;
- Prepare and present cost center, departmental, divisional and consolidated management reports to management and other stakeholders;
- Design and maintain a responsive organizational structure for the division, manage the development of staff, recruitment and performance;
- Oversee 100% adherence to policies, procedures, statutory guidelines and ensure the enterprise risk register of the division is up to date.

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field;
- A master’s degree in relevant field will be an added advantage;
- A fully qualified Accountant (CPA K) or ACCA;
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Finance with at least 3 years in a similar position;
- Demonstrated knowledge of insurance accounting systems and procedures.
