We are looking for highly engaged candidates with a track record of excellence to fill the following open position:
Environment, Health and Safety Manager
Reporting to the General Manager - Manufacturing, Maintenance & Facilities, the successful
candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
- Supervision of the Environment, Safety & Industrial Hygiene function.
- Maintain procedures and records for the Environment management systems (EMS) and the Health & Safety system.
- Plan, schedule and monitor performance of internal and external audits for the EMS and Safety system.
- Reporting and maintaining records of internal and external surveillance audits.
- Drive compliance with safety procedures and safety requirements through observations, compliance audits, coordination of reviews, safety programs, feedback and follow-ups of corrective action
- Drive awareness of Environment, Health & Safety best practises in the organization.
- Coordinate safety and environment incident reporting and follow up on closure of all corrective Actions.
- Maintain Environment, Health and Safety metrics.
For appointment to this position, the successful candidate must have the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other related field.
- At least five years working experience with knowledge and experience in Environment, Health & Safety function.
- Postgraduate Certificate or Diploma in Environment, Health & Safety field will be an added advantage.
- Good communication skills and assertiveness.
