We are looking for highly engaged candidates with a track record of excellence to fill the following open position:

Product Engineer - Supplier Quality Development

 

Reporting to the General Manager, Product Planning, Engineering & Bodybuilding, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:

• Facilitate the interaction between Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing & Supply chain departments and suppliers in terms of local content development and the applicable general procedures.


• Provide input into all new business sourcing decisions affecting suppliers.


• Measure, report and correct supplier quality performance.


• Develop and confirm supplier capability by means of applying acceptable tools.


• Ensure that corrective and preventive action reports, lodged with suppliers, are effectively addressed.

For appointment to this position, the successful candidate must have the following minimum requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering.


• Minimum three years experience in a Manufacturing Environment.


• Project Management knowledge and skills.


• Knowledge of Manufacturing processes, KAIZEN, Lean Manufacturing, Sigma tools & Computer Design Systems (Aut0CAD & Inventor).


• Strong People management skills, innovative, customer focused and strong interpersonal Skills.
