Our client is a small firm based in Nairobi seeking to recruit an experienced Driver.
Reports to: Managing Director
Role Objective: To deliver parcels / letters to various clients and collect as required in a timely and efficient manner.
Drive management staff and employees whenever required to various locations.
Responsibilities
- Deliver letters to various clients / companies as directed by the company
- Purchase and deliver tender documents as required by the company
- Run any other errand as required by the office
- Responsible for the cleanliness and maintenance of the office vehicle
- Ensure all office vehicle documents are up to date
- Document and log all official trips, fuel consumption, route used and mileage of the vehicle, and submit all fuel or vehicle service receipts
- Report any accident that may occur while on duty immediately
- Other duties assigned
Qualifications
- O level Certificate
- Basic training in vehicle mechanics with knowledge of minor repairs
- Certificate of good conduct
- Holder of a valid driver’s license BCE
- Conversant with health and safety regulations and first aid
- At least 2 years experience of driving
- A good driving track record for the past 2 years
Person Specification
- A mature, responsible, organized team player and planner
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Aware of personal grooming
- Detail oriented, flexible and reliable person with high integrity levels
- A responsible person with strong work ethics
- Skilled in long distance driving
- Excellent knowledge of Nairobi and its environs
- Ability to work under pressure
