Store Manager 





Job Description
 


Stock / Inventory

  • Ensure all items are stocked in an organized manner and are accurately recorded on stock cards and the computer system. Stock means both sellable and non-sellable items (e.g. furniture, light bulbs etc.)

  • Keep active track of stocks so can have accurate reorder to ensure no stock out

  • Keep an index of stock so can easily find stock

  • Ensure items are not duplicated in the computer system

  • Follow correct procedures of receiving stock by creating a GRN from the PO

  • Supervise and assist in receiving stock, including counting, verification, stocking in on system and stock card, physically putting into stores

  • Supervise and assist if need be in issuing stock for all requirements

  • Ensure all stock movement can be tracked from stock in, to issuing of stocks for orders or replacements

  • Understanding all types of order requirements and ensuring the system set is followed. If any unique cases to bring to attention to management with a potential solution before acting

  • Random stock takes to ensure stock cards and system stock is matching


Orders Team / Dispatch / Replacements

  • Random checks of parcels/bags to ensure items dispatched to branches are correct

  • Ensure smooth flow of orders internally – from messenger, to orders team, to stores, to workshop and back out to branch

  • Ensure that orders are being tracked and delivered on time to respective branches

  • Ensure correct items are provided according to order details

  • Understand the rider/messenger schedule so that replacements are sent to branches in the minimum time possible

  • Clear up any pending lists and follow up with branches regarding borrowed items


Miscellaneous

  • Should have the ability to lead and motivate the team

  • Ensure that systems are followed

  • Provide timely reports

  • Escalate anything that is new or a repeated issue

  • Improving systems in place on a continuous basis by providing suggestions to management
