Job Title: Workshop Manager
Reports To: After Sales Manager
For: Guidance & support on Customer handling and Service reception
Direct Reports: Lead Technician & Service Advisors
Job Purpose: To ensure effective and efficient service management through developing, implementing and monitoring technical processes and systems that promote optimum business performance while ensuring high levels of quality service delivery
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and ensuring availability of sufficient manpower capacity to handle all the key areas within the workshop job flow process for optimal productivity
- Regularly monitor and review Service processes to promote efficiency and increased customer satisfaction
- Prepare annual service budgets and forecasts accurately, monitor and report on any variances, and address them
- Ensure that the service menus are competitively priced and reviewed regularly to promote profitable business operations
- Ensure customer satisfaction by effectively following up on customer complaints for timely resolution
- Oversee and approve all departmental process and functions and ensure adherence to TTC and HML guidelines
- Develop and facilitate the implementation of effective strategies that promote customer acquisition and retention
- Oversee continuous skills improvement by all productive/technical staff through appropriate Hino approved training programs

Qualifications / Skills / Knowledge Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering or equivalent
- Post graduate qualification in a Business related field will be an added advantage
- Minimum 8 years in an automotive industry 3 of which must have served at supervisory level
- Good Leadership skills
- Customer focused
- Budgeting and financial control skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft office applications
- Excellent Interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate and influence at all levels
- Written/verbal communication and presentation skills
