Position: Stores Manager
 


Location: Nairobi
 


Nature of Job: Full time
 


Salary: 40K-60K
 


Summary: Our client seeks to recruit a Stores Manager with FMCG or manufacturing companies’ experience. 





The incumbent will manage company stores operations, raw materials, finished goods and consumable stores to ensure proper stock are maintained, minimum and maximum levels are determined and no stock out are experienced.
 



 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing stores operations in an efficient manner to ensure stores operations run smoothly

  • Monitoring all stock movement from various stores to determine required minimum and maximum stock

  • Raising requests for purchase of items upon timely considering lead time

  • Providing daily, weekly and monthly summary reports to management on stores status

  •  Updating of ERP on all incoming materials as per the purchase orders

  • Monitoring/ Reviewing issue of raw  material and consumable material as per the production plan

  • Planning for regular stock taking  to ascertain stock accuracy

  • Ensuring stocks accuracy in stock cards as well as ERP system, sharing the stock reports to relevant departments for execution of their mandate e.g. sales, planning, dispatch and suppliers.

  • In charge of closure of any nonconformities raised to stores

  • Train new staff on their duties and coaching them where necessary

  • Managing all staff allocated in all supply chain stores

  • Enforcing discipline, punctuality, and conflict resolution within the team

  • Enforcing occupational health and safety within the stores

  • Enforcing following of ISO procedures and awareness to the stores staff

  • Any other duties as allocated, removed or delegated by the management


Key Requirements and Skills

  • Diploma/Degree in Procurement/ Purchasing /Logistics Management or any other related field

  • Relevant training in store keeping and stock management store

  • 5+ years’ experience managing a busy store

  • Experience with an ERP system

  • Having managed a number of staff both skilled and unskilled

  • A good team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Independent with ability to work under minimal supervision

  • Excellent computer skills
