We are looking for highly engaged candidates with a track record of excellence to fill the following open position:
Technical Assistant
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following functions:
- Preparing accurate vehicle repair estimates.
- Promote Environmental, Health & Safety and workplace organisation to achieve set objectives for the workshop.
- Coordinate workshop parts and materials requirements.
- Support front office, provide leadership and support to other technicians in problem analysis and resolution.
- Allocate duties to technicians, follow up and sign off job cards to ensure quality work is performed and promised time is met.
- Road testing of vehicles to ensure required repairs are carried out satisfactorily.
For appointment to this position, the successful candidate must have the following minimum requirements:
- BSc. in Automotive Engineering.
- Two years hands on experience in a busy motor vehicle repair workshop.
- Knowledge in different vehicle systems repairs.
- Computer literate in MS Office packages.
- Ability to build effective teams, good diagnostic, interpersonal and report writing skills.
- Analytical capacity and detail oriented.
