We are currently seeking long-term and short-term senior experts for upcoming multiyear projects in East and Southern Africa. The anticipated projects will be task orders under the USAID-funded Support for Food Security Activities (SFSA) IQC, a mechanism for regional and bilateral USAID missions to engage in the following activities: agricultural productivity, agricultural market facilitation, value chain development, trade facilitation and regulatory and policy reform, humanitarian assistance projects and other activities that promote food security. Positions are contingent on ACDI/VOCA being awarded the projects, and start dates will depend on the timing of contract award.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant and progressive work experience in developing country(ies) focusing on issues such as:
? food security
? agricultural production
? agribusiness
? market information systems
? market linkages
? value chain development, analysis and finance
? trade facilitation
? regulatory and policy reform
? humanitarian assistance
• Experience working on USAID-funded projects in East and Southern Africa is strongly preferred.
• Project management and supervisory experience required.
• Strong organizational and communications skills.
• Fluency in English is required.
