PROJECT LOGISTICIAN
The position holder will be responsible for supporting MSF Holland Projects in Galcayo; Somalia but based in the Coordination office in Nairobi.
Core Responsibilities of the Position Maintain adequate supply system in Remote Management (RM) settingMonitor and control of supply related activities (ordering, purchasing, stock management, etc.) through collection and analysis of relevant information.Implement MSF standard supply administration system and procedures (with adjustment to RM specific situation).Supervise installation and maintenance works of Project;Assist the Project Coordinator in staffing and management of field logistic personnel.Regular logistic reporting to the Project Coordinator and Logistic Coordinator.
Requirements Minimum of 2 years MSF experience or 3 years with another humanitarian organization in a similar position in SomaliaProven experience in supply chain management (order management, purchasing, stock management and freight management)Advanced management and coaching skillsAdvanced skills in office applications especially Excel.Good command of written and verbal English and Somali.Ability to organize and prioritize workload, using initiative when appropriate.Willingness to work in a high security and violent setting.Willingness to travel frequently to Somalia when requested.Valid passport to cover period overseas.
Desirable Technical skills in construction and Water & Sanitation.Previous overseas work experience in humanitarian assistance
