Job Title: Business to Business Sales Executives
Reports to: Operations Manager
Job Location: Nairobi
Salary: Kshs 50K gross plus comms
Our client is a facility that comprises of high end luxurious studio apartments offered in the fashion of a hotel. Each suite is fitted with convenience and comfort in mind to make the guests feel at home.
Their services include breakfast; dinner and housekeeping for both long and short stays. They are looking for a person with a strong background in selling to corporate, and businesses to increase their sales.
Job Purpose: Plan and carry out direct marketing and sales activities, so as to maintain and develop sales of the Suites, targeting corporates primarily.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
- Selling to corporate
- Develop and maintain a computerized customer and guest prospect database
- Plan and carry out direct marketing activities, including meetings, phone calls, email and so on to achieve higher occupancy of the Suites (to a weekly target of 70%)
- Respond to and follow up sales enquiries by telephone, personal visits and email
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support and liaison with internal staff
- Maintain an updated calendar of major events, conferences, functions and activities happening in Nairobi and its environs that bring in visitors from upcountry, the wider Africa Region and Internationally to tap into that market potential for accommodation
- Develop ideas and create offers for social media marketing, direct email and marketing to major accounts by market sector and Suites and complimentary services within the area/Place
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys every quarter
- Report on sales and marketing activities and provide relevant management information as required
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company colleagues to enhance performance of your duties and to aid business and organizational development
- Support marketing and customer service functions at the front desk when required
- Perform other duties as directed by management
Skills and Requirements
- A professional degree sales and marketing is highly desirable or its equivalent.
- At least 2 years proven experience in selling to corporate
- Must have sold to corporate only.
- Proven performance in sales & marketing is essential.
- Should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have very good marketing strategies and selling skills and should have a pleasing personality.
- Should be persuasive, adaptable and innovative and has good problem – solving skills.
- Should have formal presentation skills as the job may require the candidate to present his product or service to a group of people.
- Should have high Stress-tolerance levels as this position is highly competitive.
