the region re-known for its world class Daima brands of products among
others.
In
order to strengthen our Milk Supply & Extension Services team
as part of our growth strategy, we wish to recruit dynamic and result
driven professionals to fill the following positions.
All the positions will be based in the North Rift Region of the Country.
Field Milk Graders
Duties and Responsibilities
- Reporting all the activities that
have occurred during the field work. Must ensure satisfaction with the
quality of milk delivered at the company from the field. Reporting has
to be clear, comprehensive and accurate to ensure continuity of
operations and no ambiguity. - Commitment to ensuring that
discipline, honesty and integrity is maintained in the course of duty
and duly executing his/ her tasks in a professional manner. Shall not be
associated or be participative in any acts that are illegal by law or
against company policy. - Preparation and standardization of laboratory chemical and reagents for use in the milk grading process.
- Reporting all the incidences however
minor with that have involved you with the regulatory bodies/arms of
the government in your course of duty. - Charged with ensuring the safety of
company equipment and resources entrusted to your use at all times. You
will be fully responsible for all activities taking place in your work
area/location. - Ensuring that the company quality
clause on the milk transportation process is duly adhered to including
ascertaining the quantity of milk procured, quality of the milk, use of
security seals and the locking of the transportation truck/tanker. - Sampling, analysis and testing of
raw milk in the field, ensuring that it complies with the highest
quality standards as designed by the company. - Ensuring hygiene is held top on the agenda in the process of milk grading, collection and transportation.
- Duly and adequately communicate all
occurrences to the Quality assurance Officer from time to time to
facilitate quick decision making and to taking of corrective actions. - Responsibility over the handling and
operation of all laboratory resources under your care. All
malfunctions, breakages or shortages should be promptly reported for
remedial action. - Application and upholding the use of
the company certified test methods and procedures during the course of
duty. Expected to fully understand the principle behind every test
method used in Dairy Quality Assurance. - Report any anomalies immediately to
the process owners, for corrective action and follow up and ensure the
corrective action taken is effective and sustainable - Troubleshooting all process
anomalies as and when they occur followed by all documentation that
related to the concerned product or process. - Carry out any other duties as may be directed from time to time.
Qualifications Required
- Be a certificate / Diploma holder in
Dairy Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, and Analytical Science
and have at least 3 years relevant experience. - Be innovative, enthusiastic and
energetic, able to work with minimum supervision and possess excellent
organizational skills including the ability to multitask under
pressure. - Have excellent interpersonal skills, a pleasant and outgoing personality
- Be self-motivated and team orientated and work to a high level of integrity and accountability, with keen attention to details.
- Have good communication, interpersonal and report in skills.
- Be Computer literate with hands on working experience in operating Microsoft Office suite specially MS Word and MS Excel.
- Fluency in both oral and written English and Kiswahili. Knowledge of local dialects will be an added advantage.
