****JOB SUMMARY****


The International Recruiter is responsible for the development and implementation of recruitment processes for talent in the Southern and Eastern Africa regions. This position will support continued success of the organization through strategic talent planning and acquisition for critical roles within the organization, which includes finding staff, volunteers, and consultants for International Medical Corps’ programs and emergency responses. The position is based in Nairobi, Kenya.


****ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES****


  • Supervise the team of staff, including administration, finance, logistics, and program staff

  • Plan, organize, and ensure the delivery of quality medical services at Raja County Hospital in accordance with South Sudan’s National Healthcare Policy

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly activity reports, including health statistics and narrative reports, and work with key hospital and IMC staff and the M&E Coordinator to develop plans to ensure data and reports are produced regularly

  • Lead a hospital management team to ensure smooth administrative, clinical, and logistical support to Raja County Hospital

  • Work closely with the SMoH hospital director in the development of hospital priorities and implementation timeliness

  • Ensure the application and compliance of security protocols and policies

  • Actively promote PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) standards within International Medical Corps and amongst beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps

  • Other duties as assigned

****Skills & Requirements:****


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Psychology, Organizational Design, Human Resources, Management, Leadership, Public Health, International Relations, or other related discipline AND minimum of five years’ experience working as a talent acquisition professional at a senior level OR an equivalent combination of education and experience to meet the qualifications above

  • Experience with international emergency relief, international development and humanitarian work preferred

  • Experience recruiting talent for hard to fill positions in developing countries experiencing dangerous and/or unhealthy circumstances

  • Experience recruiting and managing volunteers and staff for emergency relief strongly preferred

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally

  • Professional certification preferred, SPHR, PHR, GPHR, AIRS

  • Organizational skills – ability to lead searches through phases and timelines and to keep hiring managers and search committees apprised of progress.

  • Interpersonal skills – Demonstrated success working well in a team environment while also acting and thinking independently.

  • Communication skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Computer skills – Proficiency in MS Office, internet searching, and applicant tracking systems.
