Seeds and Agro-Chemicals Sales Representative
Purpose and Scope: This position is responsible for the promotion, sales and marketing of product to assigned customers within a specific geographical area.
You will engage in the sales, management, distribution, collection and servicing of customer seed accounts.
Additionally this position is expected to promote and support company products and programs at all major company functions such as but not limited to farm shows, field shows and customer meetings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow seed market share within an assigned geography through a focus on direct sales to a specific demographic of customers that value product performance, relationship, trust and loyalty
- Perform direct customer sales calls utilizing company programs and literature
- Determine customer needs by asking questions, listening and responding promptly
- Coordinate product test plots and comparisons with customers
- Manage orders to maximize sales and efficiency
- Focus on retaining and growing sales with existing seed customers
- Actively recruit new seed customers through direct sales efforts
- Assist and support other Field Sales teammates when requested
- Assist in the collection of accounts
- Share market knowledge with supervisor through verbal and written communications
- Identify and resolve customer challenges in a timely manner
- Perform administrative functions as required to maintain efficient and effective sales
- Perform other related duties as may be required by the Management.
Job Requirements
Education and Training
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Marketing, Sales or other related field or Two years sales and agronomic experience
Technical knowledge
- Proficiency with relevant computer and software skills
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to identify and resolve agronomic challenges
- Driving License
