Job Description
Kenya Forestry Research Institute (KEFRI) is a State Corporation established in 1986 with obligation to undertake forest research, generate and promote improved technologies for sustainable management, conservation and development of forest and allied natural resources.
The Institute wishes to recruit a dynamic, result-oriented and self driven person to fill the vacant position below:
Pension Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving, recording and responding to communications / enquiries from members;
Maintaining member registry and scheme documents;
Forwarding pension withdraw notices to the administrator and following up for computation worksheets;
Verifying correctness of computation worksheets and service provider‟s fees and seeking approval from trustees to pay;
Following up benefits payment and other disbursements cheques;
Keeping track of new members and ensuring that they fill the nomination of beneficiary forms;
Quarterly membership reconciliation with the employer HR records;
Liaising with accountant on reconciliation of contributions and withdrawal;
Liaising with administrator to ensure quarterly contributions are sent to RBA.
Requirements for Appointment
At least 2 (two) years‟ experience in a similar position;
Bachelor‟s degree in Commerce, Finance or Actuarial Sciences;
Diploma in Human Resource Management is an added advantage; and
Certificate in Computer Applications from a recognised institution.
