Sales Executive (Plastic Caps & Closures)

One of the world’s leading manufacturers of plastic caps and closures is coming to Kenya!
The company has 22 factories in 19 countries worldwide, covering Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and North and South America and this global presence is continuously extended. Latest expansions were in Singapore as a hub for further expansion in Southeast Asia and the formation of a joint venture in Argentina to complement the presence for the southern cone of South America. They are now coming to the East African region by opening an office in Nairobi and seek to recruit a Sales Executive.
General Summary
Introduce and promote the specified product range, ensuring sales are maximized through the channel whilst delivering the best service and customer satisfaction to allow company be the leading Value Added Distributor in the marketplace.
Sales Executive Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in achieving sales targets set each month by Sales Management.
Pro-actively seek new business in the specified product range, by targeting a combination of company’s existing customer base and prospective customers.
Participate in maximize sales by continually expanding orders and up selling on all incoming and outgoing calls.
Ensure all orders received are entered into the compact system accurately.
Ensure all quotations on the system are followed up within 10 working days of creation.
Maintain an agreed level of pro-active telephone contact with both existing and prospective customers.
Ensure that customer complaints, issues and queries reach a successful and appropriate conclusion.
Where relevant, such matters must be escalated to the Sales Manager.
Manage and maintain any authorization schemes & price lists relevant to our products.
Meet and exceed the agreed performance objectives.
Finalize the administrative tasks or paper work related to his/her job.
Any additional tasks that are assigned by the sales manager.
Implement all food safety rules and regulations as required
Requirements for the Sales Executive Kenyan Job:
Education :B.Sc. degree in any related field
Previous Experience : From 2 – 4 years in sales;
Language Skills : English and French languages are a must with Excellence level of proficiency.
Computer Skills : Good user of MS word, Excel, PPT, Internet search and e-mail
Soft Skills Required:
Organization skills
Excellent Communication Skills,
Strong and Flexible Personality,
Strong Persuading Skills.
Excellent Sales Skills.
Good Problem Solving and reporting Skills.
Has the ability to follow up on Sales and ability to deal with different and difficult personalities
