A flour milling business based in Nairobi is currently seeking to recruit a suitably qualified candidate to fill the following position:

Work Activities

• Generating new product ideas.


• Ensuring that food safety and hygiene standards are met.


• Testing and examining samples.


• Liaising with marketing staff.


• Identifying and choosing products from suppliers.


• Monitoring the use of additives in food products.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science/technology, food/chemical engineering, biochemistry, nutrition, microbiology or chemistry.


• 3 Years’ experience in food processing


•  Possession of a food-related postgraduate qualification can be beneficial


•  Candidates possessing food industry work experience are often at an advantage. .

• Confident independent workers.


• Attention to detail, especially with regard to food hygiene and safety.


• Strong analytical and numerical skills and a real interest in food production.
