The organization Magna Children at Risk organises humanitarian and developmental projects to help people in need, whether through poverty, disease, war, or ecological disaster and regardless of ethnicity, religion or nationality.

Magna is independent of all states and institutions, as well as of all political, economic or religious influences. Magna ran projects in 6 countries using over 300 international and national staff. ??

Task Description:

Responsible for the daily use and update of the logistic software and the continuous follow-up of the inventories of the project.Responsible for supply, reception and dispatch of materials according to established guidelines.Responsible for the management of the warehouse according to Magna standards.Responsible for the logistic part of the cold chain as outlined in the “Cold chain procedures” document (from Magna guidelines)Responsible for daily contact with transport companies for the accurate dispatch and arrival of materials.Responsible for the daily coordination with the logistic team on priorities, internal movements and any other delegated tasksResponsible for planning and sharing with admin assistant the weekly and monthly expenses, according to established guidelines and to share this with Log/admin.Responsible for the follow-up of cars and maintenance, supervision of drivers according to established guidelines.Co- responsible for the installation and maintenance of office support equipment e.g. computers, printers, photocopiers etc, under supervision of the Logistics Coordinator.Will advice on any issues related to security.Provide logistical support to the projects as required under direction of the Log/Admin and with the support of the logistics team.Provide logistical support to emergency interventions, including travel at short notice to work on emergency interventions. Assist in the set up of new projects and fill short term gaps in logistical positions in the projects as requiredCover the main functions of the Admin Assist in his/her absence ensuring that the standard activities are proceeding as normal Will be flexible regarding job tasks and show flexibility in terms of new task being delegated. The Nutrition Program Field Coordinator is responsible for designing, overseeing and coordinating the nutrition programs in adherence with Magna’s and national protocols / guidelines, as well as liaising with various external partners.

Main responsibility: Designing, overseeing and coordinating the nutrition programs in adherence with Magna’s and national protocols/guidelines, as well as liaising with various external partners.

Responsible for medical diagnosis and treatment of the patients presenting medical complications. To insure the correct application of the treatment protocols.

Objective of the function:

Clinical Officer will be primarily responsible for direct patient care at, either in IPD (SC) or OPD (OTP and SFC), treatment and follow-up of patients and/or a population in accordance with prescriptions, Magna and national protocols, respect of universal hygiene standards and context.

Ensure good practices among the medical/nursing team.

Duties will include both hospital and health post responsibilities.

Supervise: the medical nutritionist and nurse (for the medical issue)

Specific tasks

Clinical examination of all patients with signs of complicated pathologies or presenting complication or refer, prescription and follow-up of the severe and complicated cases.Clinical rounds in the ward and health posts.To carry out the OTP and SFC clinics according to needs.To cover emergency room as practitioner responsible.Follow and supervision of the implemented protocols and systems.Ensure the correct documentation is filled and followed.Assist with care when there is need.Ensure proper handover among colleagues.To assist and participate in continual medical education facilitated by Magna staff.Adaptation and change of medical treatmentTraining of the medical personnel on basic diagnosis and treatment prescriptions (theoretical and on the spot training)To work as a member of the team, taking in consideration the non medical problems encountered by the patients (feeding and caring problems etc.)To develop relationship with medical counterparts working in relation with the TFC (hospital physicians, etc.)Qualifications:

Educational Requirements:
Clinical Officer degree/diploma/certificate recognized by National AuthoritiesMinimum of 2 years experience as a Clinical Officer and with coordinating of activities is preferable, it is preferred experience with NGO will be an added advantage.
Excellent command of English both written and spoken English.
Somali speaking an advantageClinical skills, rigour, precision, flexibility, ability to work with multidisciplinary and multi-cultural people.Willingness to learn, develop capacities and take responsibilitiesClosing date: 15.09. 2011
