ODM is a Registered Political Party;
Whose mission is to build a social, democratic state and society in which all Kenyans have a better life based on democratic and Constitutional principles of a pluralistic democracy and good governance founded on principles of Unity, Justice, Fairness, respect for the Rule of Law, Peace, Liberty and Equality.To promote democratic political governance based on the popular will of the people exercised through grassroot participation in Party activities, universal suffrage on principles of transparency and accountability in public affairs.The Party is looking for a dynamic, service oriented, self motivated and result driven Executive Director.
Reporting to the Secretary General of the Party, the Executive Director will be responsible for providing leadership to the Party Secretariat in implementing the Party’s Strategic Plan, and programs as approved by the NEC. The Executive Director will ensure that the Party is run in a professional and focused manner that allows it to deliver its mandate;
a) Prepare an organizational strategy for growth and development of the Party to achieve its political, strategic and policy goals that are designed to deliver the party’s vision and objectives;
b) In consultation with the NEC, develop fundraising strategies to raise funds to support the party programs
c) Ensure the preparation of the programme based budget and prudent management of Party resources
d) Ensure timely submission of statutory returns in accordance with the Political Parties Act.
e) Provide strong and overall leadership in developing, implementing and managing party programs as approved by NEC.
f) Provide overall coordination and administration of the day to day affairs of the Party Secretariat.
 The successful Candidate must be a person who has;
a) Demonstrated outstanding professional competence and wide experience in policy and strategy formulation and implementation.
b) Has a Clear appreciation of the country’s political and economic needs at the national and county level.
c) Has demonstrated a high degree of administrative ability and leadership;
e) In possession of a Bachelor’s degree in any of the following; Political science, Law, Economics, Commerce or sociology or any other degree from related fields. A Masters degree will be an added advantage;
f) The candidate must have at least five (5) years experience in areas related to promoting politically related agenda and have a high degree of success.
g) A member of the Party and must have a passion for the Party’s ideology and core values.
h) Must have excellent communication skills
 Commensurate with experience and negotiable.

The organization seeks to recruit in the following positions:

Human Resource Manager

Reporting to the Executive Director, the position serves to provide strategic leadership and management oversight for the Human Resources and staff development in matters of strategy, policy compliance and operations.

Overall Responsibilities:

Provide strategic Human Resources leadership.Continually review the manuals and policy documents to ensure compliance with organizational strategy and the present challenges.Facilitate effective staff performance management, staff development, remuneration management and welfare.Supervise guide and train staff in the Human Resources DepartmentCarry out performance appraisal for the staff in the department and coordinate entire organization staff appraisal processSet policies and procedures Ensure that organizational operations are compliant with the policies and proceduresArbitrate on disciplinary issuesSuitable candidates MUST have the following minimum qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management, Sociology, Business Administration, Social Sciences or any other art related field.At least 3 years experience as a HR Generalist in a busy environmentWell versed with the current Kenyan labor laws.Experience in a set ups with high staff numbers and multi cultural and partnerships arrangements.Experience with working with the NGO sector will be an added advantage.
