About the role



The Associate – Accounts
Receivable 
will Process all sales invoices, match with
payments and follow up with Sales team on weekly collection actions.



Responsibilities




  • Check all source documents for any sale (LPOs,
    delivery notes, contracts, etc) as per revenue recognition policy

  • Make and Post Sales Invoices as per revenue
    recognition policy, create and post CSH, complete cash matching on a daily
    basis to ensure up to date AR

  • Create ETRs as per tax policy

  • Issue invoices and account statements as per
    agreement with the Sales team


  • Work with the senior associate to develop detailed
    weekly collection plan (down to how much from each customer) for rolling 4
    weeks with Sales team based on the monthly AR plan issued by the finance
    team

  • Assist to follow up with Sales team on weekly
    collection actions and revise weekly plans above

  • Create and aggregate necessary documentation from
    past-due customers with the Sales team

  • Reconcile LPF, MPesa, Bank, Inventory, and any
    other external system that is impacted by Sales with FFA

  • Actively pursue delinquent customers to collect
    outstanding AR

  • Prepare and analyze all AR reports and models to
    track Key Indicators



Qualifications




  • Business Degree preferably in Finance or
    Accounting

  • A minimum of CPA 2 or it’s equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting with at
    least 1 year on AR management

  • Advanced excel knowledge an added advantage

Purpose of the position:



The Operations Director is responsible for strategic leadership and results-based management of World Vision Kenya’s field operations, including line-management of all sponsorship funded programs, grants and PNS projects, technical programs, Disaster Management (including the Refugee Response), and Faith & Development initiatives.



To provide overall leadership to the operations team, fostering an enabling environment to support World Vision’s strategic priorities and imperatives. Major Responsibilities:



Strategic Management (20%)



  • Stay abreast of, analyze and advise the National Director on trends in programming, operational, country and donor environments to facilitate strategic decision making and planning.

    Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience



    The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:



    • Master’s Degree in international development or relevant field such as social science, public health, or business administration

    • At least 10 years’ program management experience in an international development organization. and/or 8+ years of experience in emergency response, development programming, and/or fragile contexts

    • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior NGO leadership role in a developing country.

    • Previous experience working in Kenya/East Africa, and/or experience working in World Vision is preffred

    • Demonstrated experience in program or project design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing is preferred.

    • Has successfully initiated & implemented significant organizational change.

    • Experience in organizational representation with government, donor & IOs in order to strengthen relationships and nurture partnerships.

    • Familiarity with EU, USAID/OFDA, DFID, CIDA, SIDA, GAC, AusAID grant compliance and procedures

Regional Safeguarding Advisor - East and Southern Africa



The core purpose of this role is to work closely with the Regional Safeguarding Director and Country Offices to ensure timely and high-quality reporting and responding through SCI's Datix reporting system. This includes reporting to internal and external stakeholders. The specialist will provide capacity building support to the country offices to implement lessons learned from cases and strengthen their system to prevent future incidents, and address gaps in safeguarding system. On top of that the advisor will play a key role in targeted capacity building and deployment and support to humanitarian responses.



This role will liaise regularly with staff across the organisation including, the global safeguarding team, Country Office Safeguarding leads and other staff, Field Office staff, and regional staff (PDQ, Partnership Manager, OPS and HR functions). The post holder may also represent Save the Children at external fora, including on relevant UN sector and cluster teams, PSEAH taskforce groups and other inter-agency meetings specific to a humanitarian response.

TERMS OF REFERENCE



Sexual Reproductive Health: HIV Knows no Borders Project (KNB II 2021 - 2026)



Consultancy for the Development of CSE Materials (KNB Phase II)



Background



The SRHR-HIV Knows No Borders (KNB) project Phase II was launched in April 2021 as a partnership between Save the Children International (SCI ESARO) specifically through the Regional Programming Unit (RPU) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The partnership collaborate to implement a holistic, regional project to improve sexual and reproductive health and HIV (SRH-HIV) related outcomes amongst migrants, sex workers and young vulnerable people YVPs) as well as non-migrant adolescents, young people, sex workers and their clients in migration-affected communities in Southern Africa with funding support from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands through the Embassy in Maputo. The six implementing countries in the SADC region Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Eswatini and Zambia have been maintained into the second phase of the protect.



Purpose of the Assignment



The program is currently undertaking review of Capacity Building Materials in HIV and SRHR to support implementation of the second phase of the project. Further development of materials is necessary to improve Human development, Puberty, Reproductive Health and Sexuality knowledge and skills of Educators, Parents and Children.



We require services of a consultant or consultancy firm to develop Comprehensive Sexuality Education Materials with compliance to global standards and pitched at the appropriate level to respond to the needs of the different audience groups as well as alignment with policies and curricula from the six participating countries.



Deliverables



  • An inception report outlining the consultant's understanding of the assignment, the proposed the CSE Materials and process of developing the CSE Materials.

  • The consultant should identify critical topics for the CSE Materials from existing capacity building materials

  • A draft the CSE Materials that takes care of the comments of the CB task team

  • Final CSE Materials - demonstrate responsiveness to the needs of the different audience groups and covering a guide on how to use the CSE materials at the different levels

Duration and Deadlines



We estimate that the consultant will commit 30 working days in August/September 2021 to complete the project



Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required



  • Advanced University degree in Public Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, International development Studies, Social Sciences or other relevant technical field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in SRH and HIV programming.

  • Proven previous experience in developing training materials and in capacity building, preferably in the field of SRHR-HIV and/or Comprehensive Sexuality Education and migration health.

  • Proven knowledge on migration health policies, strategies and legislations at global, regional and national levels relevant to SRHR-HIV, especially in the target countries, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland and Zambia.

  • Excellent analytical and technical writing skills.

  • Previous experience in working with an international development agency is an asset;

  • Effective English writing and interpersonal communication skills.

Sexual Reproductive Health: HIV Knows no Borders Project (KNB II 2021 - 2026)



Consultancy for the Development of CSE Materials (KNB Phase II)



Background



The SRHR-HIV Knows No Borders (KNB) project Phase II was launched in April 2021 as a partnership between Save the Children International (SCI ESARO) specifically through the Regional Programming Unit (RPU) and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). The partnership collaborate to implement a holistic, regional project to improve sexual and reproductive health and HIV (SRH-HIV) related outcomes amongst migrants, sex workers and young vulnerable people YVPs) as well as non-migrant adolescents, young people, sex workers and their clients in migration-affected communities in Southern Africa with funding support from the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands through the Embassy in Maputo. The six implementing countries in the SADC region Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Eswatini and Zambia have been maintained into the second phase of the protect.



Purpose of the Assignment



The program is currently undertaking review of Capacity Building Materials in HIV and SRHR to support implementation of the second phase of the project. Further development of materials is necessary to improve Human development, Puberty, Reproductive Health and Sexuality knowledge and skills of Educators, Parents and Children.



We require services of a consultant or consultancy firm to develop Comprehensive Sexuality Education Materials with compliance to global standards and pitched at the appropriate level to respond to the needs of the different audience groups as well as alignment with policies and curricula from the six participating countries.



Deliverables



  • An inception report outlining the consultant's understanding of the assignment, the proposed the CSE Materials and process of developing the CSE Materials.

  • The consultant should identify critical topics for the CSE Materials from existing capacity building materials

  • A draft the CSE Materials that takes care of the comments of the CB task team

  • Final CSE Materials - demonstrate responsiveness to the needs of the different audience groups and covering a guide on how to use the CSE materials at the different levels

Duration and Deadlines



We estimate that the consultant will commit 30 working days in August/September 2021 to complete the project



Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience Required



  • Advanced University degree in Public Health, Sexual and Reproductive Health, International development Studies, Social Sciences or other relevant technical field, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in SRH and HIV programming.

  • Proven previous experience in developing training materials and in capacity building, preferably in the field of SRHR-HIV and/or Comprehensive Sexuality Education and migration health.

  • Proven knowledge on migration health policies, strategies and legislations at global, regional and national levels relevant to SRHR-HIV, especially in the target countries, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, South Africa, Swaziland and Zambia.

  • Excellent analytical and technical writing skills.

  • Previous experience in working with an international development agency is an asset;

  • Effective English writing and interpersonal communication skills.

Structure of the Technical Proposal/Application: The Technical Proposal should include but not be limited to the following:
