Presentation of the project to be evaluated
The current food security project began in January 2010. It targets four informal settlements in Nairobi, namely Kibera, Mathare, Kiambiu and Mukuru-Lungalunga. The project has three main components: Garden-in-a-sack, small scale greenhouse production and poultry rearing.
Purposes of the evaluation
The purpose of this evaluation is to draw lessons from the implementation experience that the program team has gained so far. This evaluation will address each and every activity as per the proposal. Recommendations from the midterm evaluation will be used to improve the current project by making adjustments to the implementation approach where necessary.
Deliverables
The evaluation report should include at least:
University degree in Development studies, Social Sciences, Food Security, Agriculture or other relevant field.Minimum 5 years of proven experience working with NGOs.Proven experience in similar evaluation context (Urban Milieu).Strong methodology and writing capacities.How to apply
