Engineering Sector Business Development Manager

Location: Nairobi

Our client, a global procurement service provider with operations in Europe, North America, Ghana and Nigeria is seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager as a first step towards establishing a new branch in Kenya.

Our client’s core business is focused on delivering innovative solutions to meeting the challenges faced when creating world class maintenance operations including improved procurement processes, inventory optimisation, increased production levels and the minimisation of ‘down time’.

We are specifically looking for a Graduate engineer, looking to break into a sales/ customer service oriented career and with experience in one of the following industries: Food and Beverage Manufacture/Packaging, Oil/Gas, Pharmaceutical or Chemical.

The successful candidate will need to have clear understanding of how various manufacturing sites work and the demands placed upon the end users.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify new business while continuing to develop greater levels of business / customer service with existing clients.Coordinate the local import/customs procedures.Help client’s resolve problems before they escalate.Help strengthen excellent reputation for service and quality within the targeted market sector.To undertake relationship management by marketing and brand positioning of company.University Degree an engineering related course.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.Be self motivated and have the ability to work on your own initiative whilst also being able to be an active member of a functional team.
