Our client is a leading professional cleaning and allied services company in the hospitality industry. They seek to recruit a focused, self driven professional of high integrity in the Procurement Department. The following two positions are vacant. This is meant to build capacity as a result of our expanding business to all the corners of our country.

Position: Purchasing Assistant

Job Description:
* Purchasing of goods and services as per company’s policy.
* Evaluating quotations and preparing their summaries.
* Establishing lead time with suppliers as well as expediting overdue supplies.
* Monitoring market trends of supplies in the market and Supplies Analysis.
* Negotiating with suppliers and contractors and ensuring that suppliers are paid on time.
* Preparation of monthly and annual reports on purchases and spending.
* Maintaining and keeping files for purchase orders, quotations, contracts, tenders, and internal purchase requisitions
* Preparation of procurement monthly reports and status
* Negotiation with suppliers on the best terms of service including price, delivery, payments and after sales service
* Evaluation, appraisal and registration of suppliers

Minimum Requirements:
1. Minimum ‘O’ level C plus with a credit in English and Mathematics.
2. Minimum of a Diploma in Purchasing & supplies management from a recognized institution
3. Must have worked in the service or hospitality industry for 2 years or has a 3 years credible experience in a busy procurement environment.
4. Excellent computer skills
5. Good interpersonal skills
6. High integrity
7. Member of a professional body
8. Having some exposure in the cleaning industry is an added advantage

Remuneration:
Kes. 35,000-50,000/= per month depending on experience.
