Position: Head of Technical Services

Reports To: Managing Director

Location: Nairobi, Kenya

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

Provide leadership to all members of the technical team.Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing clients by continually improving on IT service delivery.Maintain and develop relationships with product manufacturers by ensuring that the technical team is well equipped to deliver solutions based on manufacturers’ products.Project Lead and Solution Architect in complex server deployments.Technical Presales Lead in complex server deployments.Responsible for the formulation and execution of policies that directly relate to the technical services team.Work towards continuously building the overall strength and performance of the technical services team.Qualifications and Experience:
Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Business Information Technology or related field.Certified MCSE or MCITP.Certified HP AIS or APP (server related) is an added advantage.3-5 years’ experience deploying Microsoft and HP server solutions in varied customer environments.1-2 years’ experience managing teams that deliver Microsoft and HP server solutions in customer environments that vary in size i.e. from SMEs with a single server to large companies that have more than 500 active IT users and multiple servers in different geographical locations.Thorough understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, MS Exchange Server, MS ISA Server/MS TMG Server, MS Hyper-V, and MS SQL Server.Working knowledge of MS SC Data Protection Manager, MS SharePoint Server, MS Office Communications Server, Symantec Backup Exec, Symantec EndPoint Protection Citrix XenServer, VMWare or Linux is an added advantage.Experience in setting up and working with HP ProLiant Servers is a must.High level of integrity, commitment and professional responsibility.Excellent communication and presentation skills.Ability to lead and manage people effectively.Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.Competitive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate.
