PROLINNOVA National Coordinator Job in Kenya

PROLINNOVA Kenya (PK) is a multi-stakeholder platform through which farmers, researchers, development agents, entrepreneurs and policy makers share experiences and lessons to promote and sustain local innovation. PROLINNOVA Kenya aim is to facilitate the recognition farmer innovations and to enhance the capacity of farmers to innovate in agriculture, natural resources and environmental management for sustained livelihoods, food and nutrition security and to safeguard the environment. PROLINNOVA Kenya seeks to recruit a suitably qualified candidate for the position of National Coordinator. PK invites applications from candidates who are innovative, performance driven and with a good track record in working with or coordinating multi-stakeholder platforms with diverse stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
Coordinate PK activities and ensure they are implemented according to the scheduled work plans.Documentation of the platforms experiences, outcomes, results and impacts.Spear head resource mobilization through development of proposals and forging linkages with strategic partners.Ensure proper financial management in consultation with the National Steering CommitteePreparation of reports to be submitted to the NSC, international secretariat and donors in a timely manner.Knowledge, skills and attributesMinimum of first degree in a relevant field and preferably in agriculture, natural resource management, Economics or Social sciences. Masters degree will be an added advantage3 to 4 years’ experience working in a multi-stakeholder environmentExperience working with small holder farmers Ability to work with a wide range of stakeholdersExcellent communication skills; both written and oralAbility to meet deadlinesA team player with good networking skillsAbility to work with minimum supervisionMust be computer literateKnowledge of innovation systems and/or knowledge systems will be an added advantage If you meet the above requirements send your application stating your current salary and two referees to
