Project / Operations Manager Job in Kenya

Our client is currently recruiting a Project Manager

Summary Duties and Responsibilities:-

Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.

Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Coordinates the preparation, production and distribution of the site key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders and maintains focus on targets, benchmarks and continuous improvement for each project

Oversees harmonization of site project reports and in particular project operational deliverables to ensure accessibility, prompt updating and action points execution by the responsible personnel for efficient operations

Specific project duties
 
Define the scope of the project in collaboration with senior managementCreate a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the projectDetermine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the projectDevelop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activitiesReview the project schedule with senior management and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as requiredDetermine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completionIn consultation with Head of HR, support the recruitment of and selection of required staff with appropriate skills for the project activitiesManage project staff according to the established policies and practices of the organizationEnsure that all project personnel receive an appropriate orientation to the organization and the projectExecute the project according to the project planDevelop forms and records to document project activitiesSet up files to ensure that all project information is appropriately documented and securedMonitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the projectEstablish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the projectReview the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standardsWrite reports on the project for management and for the client.Communicate with client as outlined in relevant SLAS.Monitor and obtain approval from the CEO on all budgeted project expendituresEnsure that all financial records for the project are up to dateEnsure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of qualityEvaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phaseProficiency in the use of computers for:Word processingSimple accountingData base managementSpreadsheetsE-mailInternetKnowledge, Skills and ExperienceA degree in Business or ScienceMinimum 5-7 years planning and/or management experience5-7 years experience planning and managing projects of various sizes end to end.Knowledge and experience in business analysis.Knowledge and experience in system analysis.Knowledge of call center operations.Project planning and financial control and procedures.Personal Attributes / CharacteristicsCommunicate Effectively:Creativity/Innovation:Foster Teamwork:Lead: Positively influence others to achieve results that are in the best interest of the organization.Make Decisions Organize: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details/data/information/activities.Plan: Determine strategies to move the organization forward, set goals, create and implement actions plans, and evaluate the process and results.Solve Problems: Assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/or resolve the problem.If you feel you fit the above role ,please send your CV only quoting the job title on the email subject to jobs@alternatedoors.co.ke
