Monitoring the CCTV, Digital radio and under vehicle inspection system to ensure uptime including reporting system availability for the systems.Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Cameras, NVRs, CCTV network and servers including electrical cabling.User support for control room attendants where necessary on issues related to Video Management system and Radio control systems.Supporting Under vehicle inspection system components including database administration and backup.Liaising with system vendors for replacement of faulty parts and maintenanceInstallation and configuration of additional cameras where necessary.Setting up Digital Radio handheld devices for usersTraining control room operations team on CCTV and radio control operationsQualifications and Experience:Diploma in Electronics Engineering or Information Technology from a recognized institution.Bsc or Higher National Diploma in Telecommunications EngineeringBsc in Information TechnologyCCNA or equivalent certification in networking or good experience in ICT networking environmentAt least 1 year experience in installation and maintenance of CCTV SystemsExperience in Digital radio systems will be an added advantage.Must be proficient in computer applications including Windows operating system.Must be willing to work on a 24 hour shift arrangementDemonstrate interest in emerging technologies and how technology can be applied to deliver sustainable/cost effective security solutions.Evidence of working knowledge of the following technical areas with specific focus on security systems maintenance and supporting systems infrastructure/technologies:Check point X-Ray security screening EquipmentData/Voice services;Wireless communication technologies (VHF or TETRA Radio systems);Security Systems (CCTV, Access Control).Data Networks (Routing/ Switching/ Firewalls), Computer LAN (IP/Ethernet- Server client environment) and IT Image archiving, retrieval storage technologiesEffective use of Collaboration Tools (e.g. Video management systems, Voice/Video Conferencing, Remote systems access, central integrated system monitoring etc.)Interested candidates are required to submit an application letter, curriculum vitae and copies of certificates and other testimonials on or before 19th December 2014 to the address below quoting reference on the envelope: CCTV TECHNICIANS /DECEMBER/2014
