Job Description


Vacancy: Cargo Sales Executive – GSA


Job Purpose: The Cargo Sales Executive shall work to introduce the cargo product in the market as a GSA of appointed Airline and maintain sales and high standard of service to customers, control of cargo operations, recommend, implement and effectively control pricing, manage employees in compliance with the company’s regulations, policies and procedures.


The job holder will seek to consistently maximize freight revenues for the contracted airlines, sales commissions and maximize market penetration.

Job Responsibilities:



This job holder will be required to sell to medium & small Freight Forwarders / Cargo Agents

Maintain and expand business in the assigned area.

Negotiate agreements and resolves potential issues or problems with clients.

Expands existing or current customer base by recognizing and involving top cargo agents within the area.

Create awareness of all the products and services in the area to magnify market influence and generate future sales.

Develop sales network and price structure to attain targets and increase revenues.

Implement customer service procedures to ensure customer satisfaction.

Other administrative tasks may include some required budget assistance; payment processing, personnel activities, and staff scheduling.

The job holder will recommend to management, on an annual basis, sales targets and a promotional action plan based on market demand, competitor activities and feedback from freight agents and exporters.

Maintaining close contact with the internal sales support and operational staff for picking up of sales leads and updating them with current  rates, commissions etc, so as to ensure accurate information brokerage wherever cargo bookings, quotations, flights schedules ,tariffs and available / booked loads are required.

Follow market trends and competitor airline activities, anticipating threats, identifying opportunities in order to improve market share. 

Maintain databases of existing and potential customers / agent performance, commission reports, airline performance etc.


Qualifications & Experience


Bachelors Degree and minimum of 4 years proven sales experience

`O’ level education and a minimum of 6 years proven sales experience

The job holder will be expected to have had experience in the areas of general airfreight and cargo handling, with an international Airline, ground handling agent. Express Services Company or International Freight forwarder and Logistics Provider.

Computer literate, with knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point and Access.
