Our client is an International company that produces and supplies cleaning equipment and full cleaning systems. They seek to recruit sales executives for its business development operation with key supermarkets countywide. Candidates with experience in merchandising of fast moving electronic products are encouraged to apply.
Job Purpose
To produce supermarket sales by providing point-of-purchase and shelf management services.
Sales Executive Key Responsibilities
Devising a merchandise plan
Working closely with visual display staff and department heads to decide how goods should be displayed to maximize customer interest and sales
Liaising with buyers, analysts, stores, suppliers and distributors
Producing layout plans for stores
Controlling stock levels based on forecasts
Monitoring stock movement, consider markdowns, inter-branch transfers, promotions or clear outs etc.
Maintaining inventory by restocking shelves with product from inventory; observing inventory levels; prompting store management to reorder when levels appear low; arranging for return and credit for
damaged products.
Planning product ranges and preparing sales and stock plans in conjunction with buyers
Forecasting profits and sales, and optimizing the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas
Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges;
Analyzing every aspect of bestsellers (for example, the bestselling price points, colors or styles) and ensuring that bestsellers reach their full potential
Maintaining awareness of competitors’ performance
Monitoring slow sellers and taking action to reduce prices or set promotions as necessary
Gathering information on customers’ reactions to products
Completing report by observing display and pricing of competitors’ products.
Job Qualifications for the Sales Executive Kenyan Job
Minimum diploma in relevant field
At least 3 years experience in merchandising fast moving goods
Good interpersonal skills
Good communication skills in both English and Swahili.
Commercial acumen
Customer focus
Ability to multi-task whilst working under pressure
Good at forecasting and paying attention to new and upcoming trends
Good negotiating and influencing skills
