Our Client in a telecommunication industry is urgently seeking to recruit the above position in Nairobi.
Job Purpose
To ensure that the company’s Quality, Safety, Health, Security, Social, Cultural, Environmental and Risk Management systems are defined, implemented, maintained and adhered to according to best practice standards at all levels of the organization.
NB: All of the above Management systems fall directly under the SHERQ Department
SHERQ Manager Key Performances
Define And Maintain All Sherq Manuals And Policies
Document and communicate all SHERQ manuals and policies in line with the requirements of ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS18001:2007 and ISO14001:2004 and Local Country Standards
Ensuring Business Processes And Procedures Are Defined And Documented.
Supporting the business in the developing, defining, updating and improving of business processes and procedures
Ensure Compliance To Sherqmanuals, Policies And Procedures
Compliance auditing completed and certified internally and externally to ensure compliance to ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS18001:2007 and ISO14001:2004 and Local Country Standards
Managing Corrective And Preventive Action
The identification of non-conformance and possible non-conformances, managing the corrective and preventive action through to successful implementation and closeout.
employee training
To ensure skills transfer and employee training in SHERQ environment through the continuous mentoring, coaching and induction training for all current and new employees.
Security, asset protection and risk mitigation
Ensure that all processes are in place to reduce any form of security threat which may cause harm to the overall operations of the company. Ensure optimum follow through on the investigative processes to ensure perpetrator accountability and successful prosecution of cases by the Kenya Police Force.
Establish reliable and credible sources of information with the aim to gather information to ensure safe and security operations and asset protection in Kenya.
Education Requirement
Masters/Degree in related field.
Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health Certificate
Duties And Responsibility for the SHERQ Manager Kenyan Job
Planning, designing and implementing an overall security risk management plan for the Country OPS by developing operating models and standards;
Developing a Country OPS Security Plan
Initiating Investigations into corruptive and fraud issues, security incidents related to the company’s operations.
Managing and assess compliance by contracted PSC’s with regard to security risks reduction, service rendering;
Ensuring security intelligence information are collated, analysed and applied towards ensuring the best of protection level for personnel and operations in area of responsibility;
Ensure that threat and vulnerability assessments are carried-out, at a period interval, and appropriate remedial actions advised, implemented and sustained;
Conduct Security Risk Assessments to Identify security risks or vulnerabilities which may affect the profitability of the Country OPSand implement cost effective physical security solutions;
Developing relationships within the organization to better understand all of the potential security risks which may cause harm to assets; performance, reputation, continued Country OPSgrowth and success,
Creating and direct the implementation of emergency plans and procedures to respond immediately to direct and indirect threats;
Ensure that approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) are implemented in area of responsibility;
Carrying-out all other lawful tasks as may be assigned in the course of duty in area of responsibility.
Developing and implementating of Business Continuity Planning;
Effective self-management
Training of every new employee on SHERQ at all Local Business.
Training every current employee on the requirements of SHERQ as per approved schedule.
Capturing all corrective and preventive actions identified (responsible person and timeline) in the business through SHERQ auditing, internal and external, mandatory capturing and reporting.
Monitoring closeout on a monthly basis.
Submitting exception report to Management on a monthly basis.
