Our client is recently set up international company in Kenya that specializes in supply of building materials and contracting of interior design work for high end residential and commercial projects. They have subsidiaries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Kenya is the 1st branch in Africa.

They seek to hire a workshop manager who will leads all the workshop activities, medium to large scale joinery projects, including planning, production and maintenance and supervise the workshop activities.

Kitchen Fitting Workshop Manager Job Key Responsibilities

Develop workshop procedures for fabrication, safety and quality plan

Develop production plan/schedules and establish procedures for maintaining high standard of fabrication and measure progress

Manage all workshop resources (manpower and machines)

Control store assets and coordinate procurement

Analyse project shop drawings in coordination with the Operations Manager and produce fabrication drawings

Overseeing completion of customer’s orders of products to expected standards

Developing new products made in the Wood Workshop from timber

Overseeing maintenance (including repairing, replacing and restocking) of Workshop tools, fixings, materials, and other consumables.

Maintaining and developing procedures in place to ensure safe facilities within the workplace, and safe practices for all the individuals who use it

Recording compliance with the HSE’s regulations as applicable to wood working machines

Procurement of raw materials as well as finished goods.
Skills & Qualifications for Kitchen Fitting Workshop Manager Kenyan Jobs

Bachelors degree in Technical / production field (Woodwork/Furniture/ Joinery background)

5 years experience in a similar position (wood workshop processes)

Knowledge of cabinet manufacturing processes and physical characteristics of wood and the ability to establish acceptable color range

Experienced in supervising workloads and a team

Working knowledge of CAD
